A poor batting performance in the previous match from Dhaka Platoon saw it lose a match that should have been won quite easily. Dhaka was chasing 150 against a side that it had dominated just a few days back but its batsmen kept throwing away wickets after getting set.

There was nothing that could have been more frustrating as a captain to watch batsman after batsmen get into the twenties or thirties and not carry on. Tamim Iqbal, Mahedi Hasan, Mominul Haque, and Shadab Khan were all guilty of this while some like Anamul Haque and Thisara Perera could never get started at all.

There is so much quality in this side and so much experience among the players that it is difficult to understand such uninspired performances.

The Khulna Tigers corrected some of their mistakes from the match before their previous one and immediately saw an improvement. Bring ign back Mohammad Amir in [place of Hashim Amla was a very smart move and it restored the balance in the side.

Of course, the fact that Mehidy Hasan finally got 74 batting at the top of the order validated their strategy although we are still not fond of it. Mushfiqur Rahim continued to bat like a dream as he smashed 98 not out in the previous match and helped his side post well over 200 runs.

This is the kind of form that Bangladeshi fans would be thrilled about since Mushfiqur Rahim is showing how well he can adapt to the shortest format of the game as well.

Rilee Rossouw has been in good form too and that gives the Khulna Tigers some excellent batting options. Players like Robbie Frylinck and SHamsur Rahman also add some much-needed depth to the side.

Mohammad Amir is going to lead the bowling attack one more alongside Robbie Frylinck and Shaiful Islam, Shahidul Islam, and Aminul Islam.
